I get my internet service through Verizon wireless with a small USB modem card. I used to be able to connect to xbox live by connecting the modem into my laptop and connecting to the internet, and then connecting the ethernet cable from the laptop to the xbox. All i would have to do was click on the start menu, go to the control panel, click network and sharing center, manage network connections, then click on the internet properties (advanced) then select the sharing tab, and check the box that says: allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection. That used to work, now when i try it my Xbox says: can't obtain IP address from your router or modem. how do i fix this problem? any help will be greatly appreciated!How do i connect to xbox live without wireless internet?
The method you used was bridging (the internet connection between your laptop and Xbox 360). Google it.
Or try also ICS for Windows.
