I want to connect to xbox live using my laptop as a router?

I am computer illiturate so If I could have some detailed instructions on how to do this it would be greatly appreciated.


I know that you have to set up a local network, I don't know how to do that. I know my IP, and xbox support gave me some ports, but I don't know what they are or what to do with them.I want to connect to xbox live using my laptop as a router?
Well need a little more information first, are you going to connect the xbox to the 360 wirelessly? Or is it wired, and 2nd how do you get your internet on the laptop.
