Can anyone help me with Xbox Live, Laptop, and a wireless modem?

i have an X box, a laptop with wireless broadband, and i do not have a router. can i connect to xbox live and if so how???????Can anyone help me with Xbox Live, Laptop, and a wireless modem?
If you are talking xbox 360, you can just plug your internet into the back of the xbox. If you are wanting to go wireless you will have to buy the wireless adapter for the xbox 360 it was $99.99 at game stop 3 weeks ago. Then you just hook it up like a new computer on your wireless internet. Can anyone help me with Xbox Live, Laptop, and a wireless modem?
Your going to need a router if you want to connect both to the internet, unless you plan on changing the cable from one to the other. However you need a wireless adapter for the Xbox if you have wireless internet in the house, and those adapters run around $100 I think. Pretty pricey just to play Live, usually cheaper to switch from wireless to running the actual cable. Good Luck!
Are you saying you have an internet service via a cell phone signal like Sprint (this really doesn't matter but just as a warning, the ping on those isn't very good so keep that in mind)? Also, what OS are you runing on the laptop. If it's not windows, I don't know if this will work or not. If it is, then you need to enable internet sharing which you can find a tutorial for online (just do a yahoo search). Once you do that, you could either use the wireless card to create an ad hoc wireless network (do you have wireless for the xbox?) or use the ethernet port since your connected to the internet by a USB port.
if you have an ethernet port spare on the back of your laptop you should be able to connect the x-box with the grey ethernet cable that came with the x-box.

Otherwise, you would need to buy a router to connect the cable to, or a router and a wireless adapter for the x-box, however these are 拢50 odd quid plus the cost of the router!
connect the ethernet cable form back of laptop to the xbox and u get xbox live simpl as that
