How can I make this work... It still works fine when i try to use the laptops standar wifi adapter...Connecting to xbox live through laptop wireless....?
There are two methods to share internet connection between a laptop wireless and an xbox.

You will need: An ethernet cable, laptop wifi.

Method 1: Bridging connections.

You can bridge connections between your laptop and xbox, this step however disables internet access for laptop and only allows access for xbox. Connect your ethernet to both xbox and laptop. Ensure, wifi is on. Now go to network connections on your computer and select both Wireless Connection and Local Area Connection (do not select 1394). Once highlighted, right click and select 'bridge connections'. Now go and test xbox live connection, it should work. If not try adding the computer's MAC Address or setting IP to automatic (see Xbox support page)

Method 2: Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)

In this method, ICS will allow both the Xbox and your laptop to use the internet. To do this, first go to network connections and right click Wireless Connection. Ensure that no ethernet is connected to your laptop. Go down to properties, then select the advanced tab and then check Allow other users to connect through this computers internet. Click OK. Now connect your ethernet and your xbox should be sharing the internet of your laptop.

BE WARNED, THESE METHODS CAUSE SLOW INTERNET AND I RECOMMEND USING DIRECT WIRED OR DIRECT WIRELESS ADAPTION FOR XBOX.
