How do I connect to Xbox Live through my laptop?

Hello. I have a Gateway Laptop that is running Windows Vista. I do not have any sort of internet laptop card, I pick up my internet signals through Wi-Fi. I am wanting to play on Xbox Live on my Xbox 360 but I am not for sure how to do this. Please tell me the easiest way to do this....What all would I need to buy? Would I need to purchase a laptop connect card to get the actual internet? Plz HELP
