I have a laptop with a USB network adapter. All I need to do is connect to Xbox Live to download some RockBand2 songs and stuff. I have already created a ';silver'; account on the Xbox Live website. Is there a way to connect to Xbox Live using my laptop/wireless network adapter without having to buy the $80-100 Xbox Live adapter? you can use your laptop to connect to xbox live as long as it has access to the internet just plug it network connector into your Computer then follow the instructions on this youtube video or look up how to set up a bridge connection

Unfortunately, I think you're going to need to buy the XBox wireless adapter. If at all possible try to plug your XBox directly to your router.
