How do I connect Xbox Live without a router, modem, or laptop.?

Hi, I have a computer but when i try to connect it to the modem/router thing it doesn't show anything. I don't have a laptop and I got the Xbox for christmas. My mom won't buy a modem or router i guess and i want to play with friends because i heard you can on Xbox 360. Can anyone help me or tell me how to connect to Xbox Live without a laptop or router/modem. Thanks in advance.How do I connect Xbox Live without a router, modem, or laptop.?
In order to connect to Xbox LIVE, you need a modem/router. Xbox LIVE is just like connecting to the internet. The only other way I can think of is by setting up a dial-up connection to the internet, however, on Xbox LIVE dial-up would make it VERRRRRY slow and would not be worth playing.How do I connect Xbox Live without a router, modem, or laptop.?
without a router or laptop you would need a wifi connection, that you could buy at your local Game stop but if you do not have one of those or a router, or laptop you can not get on xbox live.... but say you were to use a router. what you would do is unplug your regular Internet then wait 15 seconds than plug it back in. make sure you unplg the power first before you make the switch!
Is this computer of yours connected to the internet? (I guess it must be or how did you ask the question!) If so you can connect to xbox live by using a crossover ethernet cable connected to the PC. You will find instructions on exactly how to do that on the internet.
If your neighbors have a router , you can sneak on to there. But if you dont, Your out of luck. Question: Do you have the little wireless thing that goes on the back of your XBox

The only way you can play online is with a modem or wireless router connected to the internet.


So use the jedi mind trick to get your mom to buy one.


Or go buy one yourself.
Sorry to tell you, but you need to internet and a router to be able to do that. Until you get those things, you are not going to be playing on XBOX live
I think it's called an Ethernet cable that you would be able to connect between the computer and xbox... I'm not 100% sure. My husband hooked ours up.
You need a router or it won't work.
Put it through the Phone line? =S LOL. Sorry only thing that came into my mind.
