You may not have to bridge the connections. I also have a Sprint Laptop Card that I use to connect a VoIP phone to. Either try this method or the attached method in the sources:
Internet Connection Sharing With Your Laptop
Note: You must have an internet connection for this to work.
You must repeat the steps
anytime you are connecting to different network than the one you shared on originally. Repeat the same
steps for a wireless card. Right click the card instead of the built in wireless.

• Right click the 2 small computers at the lower right of your screen.
• Click on Network and Sharing Center
• Click on Manage network connections
• Right click on Wireless Network Connection or your Aircard, usually in the “Dial-up”

• Click on Properties
• Click on the Sharing tab
• Check the box that says “Allow other computer users to connect through this computer”
• Select “Local Area Connection” in the Home networking connection drop-down
• (If you are using an Aircard: Click on the Security tab. Make sure the options are set to
Typical)
• Click OK
• Plug the Ethernet cable into your laptop/PC and router/Xbox
• Turn on your Xbox

I followed your instructions for XP but -
An error occurred while Internet Connections Sharing was being enabled.
Internet Connection Sharing cannot be enabled.
A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address
that is required for automatic IP addressing.
