How can I connect to Xbox Live thru my Laptop?

I was able to connect to Xbox live thru the wireless adapter with no problem but I can't get a TV in there. I have a laptop and I wonder if I can connect to xbox live through that. I checked through xbox support in xbox.com but I can't find anythign useful with it. If you know how to do i will appreciate it.How can I connect to Xbox Live thru my Laptop?
As an opener, I have had to deal with this problem before, and got it working well.

Most of these answers are correct. You need to enable Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on your laptop and share your internet connection out of your Ethernet port. In the sources I have included a very in depth link on how to get this working. The directions are for Windows XP, but networking works fairly similar in Vista. If you are running another operating system, or you follow the steps in the link below and you still have problems, run a search on Google or your search engine of choice for ';ICS sharing xbox laptop'; and you can get quite a few hits. How can I connect to Xbox Live thru my Laptop?
Nah you can't do that. You can use a Wireless Router and buy an xBox Wireless Network adapter. Although I don't reccomended because the wireless network adapter for xBox is about $100 and causes major lag. If you buy something that isn't designed for the xBox you're gonna have major problems playing a game.
Connect your laptop and Xbox 360 using an ethernet CROSSOVER cable (make sure it is a crossover cable). Then all you have to do is share your wireless internet connection.

To do this go to Network Connections, Right click on the wireless connection icon going to properties. Then select the advanced tab and tick the share internet connection box.

If you are trying to connect your Xbox on a wireless network through your laptop, this is really easy but you are lacking some info.

Whats your operating system?

Any who, the process is pretty simple. You need to go to ';network connections';, assuming you are on a windows PC. Its either in your start menu ( connect to%26gt; show all connections), or in control panel. Next you highlight your wireless connection, and the Ethernet card adapter icons which will be located here. Right click and bridge connections. Now plug in your Xbox to your laptop via Ethernet cable, and connect to your wireless network.

It may be picky at first. Reset your laptop if it doesn't work at first. run the connection check on the Xbox. You should be able to browse the internet on your lappy and play halo at the same time

Good luck
